Centre for Electronics Test Engineering, Pune

CETE, Pune was established in September 2001 under STQC Directorate, Department of Electronics and Information Technology(DEIT), Government of India. The main objective was to bridge the gap between industry and academia and at the same time continuously updating knowledge and enhancing the skill of technological manpower in electronics and allied industry areas by providing quality training programs that will be industry driven and highly practice oriented. Accordingly, CETE, Pune organizes training programs (both in-house and at client’s site) in various areas of technology, the emphasis being on hands-on-training, technical video films, laboratory experiments, and industry visits. Some of the training programs are also subsidized by Quality Council of India (QCI), to make them affordable particularly to small scale industry.The trainees are given exhaustive course material for study and reference. The centre is equipped with state-of-art teaching and training aids with facilitated classrooms for courses in the areas of interconnection technology, Surface Mount Technology, Quality Management, Laboratory Management,EMC/EMI, Calibration, Industrial Automation. CETE, Pune also has a well equipped library where one can refer books on various area of technologies. The mission of CETE Pune is to enrich the skill and knowledge of human resources to make India a global player in the field of electronics.

CETE, Pune, in addition to training also offers consultancy services to industries in the following areas:-

* ISO 9000 and ISO/IEC 17025 implementation.

* CE Marking.

* EMT & Interconnection Technology

* Setting up of Calibration and Testing Laboratory and ESD Management in Electronic Assembly areas.

EMC/EMI Developmental Assistance (Using Facility) for product improvement is provided to manufacturers who desire to check whether their product complies with EMC regulations. CETE, Pune offers tailor made training program at the premises of client organization in modules with flexible timings to suit specific requirements.

Recognitions / Accreditations

CETE, Pune has certified trainers as per IPC, authorized supervisors as per ESA standards for soldering Technology. Lead auditors in the area of ISO 9001, ISO/IEC 17025. The faculty members are highly qualified and experienced. In relevant areas, guest faculty from Industries are also invited to enrich the courses.
